Ask us about eliminating bulges that don’t budge. This was the insight behind Cryolipolysis (destruction of fat cells), the proven science on which CoolSculpting® is based.

I am interested in Coolsculpting but I am overweight. Will I still see results?

Coolsculpting is not for weight loss as much as it being great for treating areas where there is stubborn fat. Coolsculpting is a treatment where we require a consultation to make sure you are a good candidate and that we can discuss realistic expectations for your specific problem.

How much fat is frozen during a treatment?

About 20 to 25% of the fat that can be suctioned into the Coolsculpting head can be frozen and ultimately destroyed.  It’s important to understand that multiple treatments are usually required for the best results in sculpting the area of concern.

What should I expect during treatment?

When the Coolsculpting head is applied to the treatment area the suction can be quite strong and uncomfortable but the area gets numb very quickly when the freezing is activated, within 5 to 7 minutes.  After that you can just relax and read or take a well-deserved nap. After one hour that area is finished and the head is reapplied to the next treatment area.  When possible, we can Coolsculpt two areas at one time.

How soon after treatment will I see results?

It takes three months to see your full results from your Coolsculpting treatment but you will more than likely start seeing the results over the time of receiving your treatment until the three month time.

How long do the results last?

Once fat is destroyed in an area is does not come back. Those cells are gone.  It’s important, however, to keep your weight consistent because gaining weight can cause existing fat cells to grow larger.

What are common side effects?

Common side effects can include some mild swelling and/or bruising to the treated area.  About four days after treating the abdomen, it’s not uncommon for some people to have cramping and discomfort which is usually relieved with Tylenol or Advil. You can return to the gym or regular activities immediately after treatment.
