How does laser acne treatment work?

The heat generated by the laser destroys the bacteria associated with acne.

What type of laser do you use?

All the lasers and light-based therapies provide enough heat to treat acne but our favorites are the Isolaz PPX or the Revlite.  Both are comfortable and very effective in destroying the bacteria.  The fractional CO2 is used for moderate to severe acne scarring and requires a couple of days of downtime.

How many sessions do I need to treat my acne?

It’s recommended to do three to six, about one month apart.  It’s also important  to follow the home care regimen we will outline for you.  The Hydrafacial Md might also be recommended for pore cleansing and extractions.

Does the procedure hurt?

No, the Isolaz PPX lifts the skin by suction then delivers the light to kill the bacteria.  The Revlite Laser feels a little hot but always comfortable.

How soon after treatment will I see results?

Most people say they see results right away but it’s so important to remain on your homecare program to achieve the best results.
