What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is often referred to as the “non-surgical facelift” laser. Utilizing the power of ultrasound, this treatment is unique, set apart in that it is the only non-invasive procedure FDA-approved to “lift skin on the neck, under the chin, and on the eyebrow” and also “improve lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.”

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy works by penetrating to the deep layers of tissue above the muscle with precise focused energy. This energy is delivered to target the same tissue layers surgeons treat during a face lift. The delivery of energy at these levels allows for stimulation and growth of new collagen and skin cells. As an end result, by penetrating the tissue layers this deep, it allows for gradual lifting, tightening, and smoothing of the skin.

Who is a candidate for Ultherapy?

Ultherapy helps to treat moderate-severe skin laxity. Some people may benefit from more than one treatment. Side effects may include redness, minor swelling and/or bruising

How long do results last?

Most people begin to see results within 3-6 months, and collagen production continues up to 18 months. So much collagen is produced, that the skin begins aging the way it was about 5 years ago.

Are there any risks or side effects?

By using ultrasound, the integrity of outermost layers of skin remain intact. Because of this, there is no downtime. Side effects may include redness, minor swelling and/or bruising. Numbness may occur but will resolve.

Prior to treatment, steps are taken to help decrease patient discomfort. These can be discussed during a free complimentary consultation with one of our Nurse Practitioner/ Register Nurses.
